Management is more than keeping the books.

No two theaters are alike because the people dedicated to it success and the communities in which the company lives are not alike. Board members require accurate information and expert advice so that the direction of its theater company is informed.  Management is so much more than numbers and artistic choices cannot operate in a vacuum. Fundraising must be based on the intrinsic value to its artists, its mission, and its audiences. Management must ask the hard questions and have the experience to follow through when decisions are made. We are losing so many theaters because they are fighting the ideas that will sustain their financial and artistic health. Management sets the tone for finding new answers, for collaboration, for sustainability.

Actors' Equity has various contracts (readings, showcases, workshops, labs) with budgets that can vary between $2,000 and $250,000. Rehearsal and performance spaces in NYC are expensive and NY Festivals may not be the right choice for your show; MW knows which is which. MW can help find directors, actors, and musical directors too.
